Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your information when you interact with iRecover US.

Effective date: April 18, 2026  ·  Last updated: April 18, 2026

1. Overview & scope

iRecover US Inc. (“iRecover,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) operates licensed addiction treatment programs in Howard, South Dakota and Sioux Falls, South Dakota. We are committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of every person who interacts with us — whether through our website, by phone, in person, or as a patient in our care.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information about visitors to our website (irecover.us), people who contact us or submit forms through the website, and prospective patients or their family members who reach out to us for help.

This policy applies to information collected through our website and initial contact channels. If you become a patient of iRecover, additional federal and state privacy protections apply to your treatment records, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and 42 CFR Part 2 (Confidentiality of Substance Use Disorder Patient Records). You will receive our separate Notice of Privacy Practices at the point of care, which describes those protections in detail.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide directly

When you submit a form on our website, call us, or otherwise contact us, we collect information you voluntarily provide, which may include:

Some of this information — particularly information about substance use, mental health, or medical conditions — is sensitive, and we treat it accordingly.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our website, certain information is collected automatically by your browser and our website infrastructure, including:

Information from other sources

If you contact us through a referral source — such as a hospital, physician, probation officer, interventionist, or family member — we may receive information about you from that source in connection with your potential care.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not share your information with advertisers or data brokers.

4. Phone calls & call recording

Important: Phone calls with iRecover may be recorded for quality assurance, training, clinical documentation, and compliance purposes. By submitting a form on our website or calling us, you acknowledge and consent to this practice.

We record and transcribe inbound and outbound phone calls at our Howard and Sioux Falls offices, including calls answered after normal business hours. Call recordings and transcripts are used for the following purposes:

Call recordings and transcripts are stored securely, accessed only by authorized personnel, and retained in accordance with applicable law and our internal retention policy. Any third-party services we use to host recordings, transcribe calls, or support AI-assisted analysis are bound by Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) that require them to protect your information in accordance with HIPAA.

South Dakota is a one-party consent state for call recording. We provide this disclosure on our website, on our forms, and through periodic verbal notification. If at any time during a call you do not want the call to be recorded, let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your request — though in some cases, recording is required for clinical documentation and we may need to end the call or reschedule.

Text messages

If we communicate with you by text message, standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply. You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP.

5. When we share information

We share your information only in the following circumstances:

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share your information for third-party marketing purposes.

6. How we protect your information

We take reasonable administrative, physical, and technical safeguards to protect your information, including:

No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of information transmitted over the internet. If we become aware of a breach that affects your information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.

7. How long we keep your information

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected and to meet our legal, regulatory, and accreditation obligations.

You may request that we delete your inquiry information sooner (see Section 8).

8. Your rights & choices

You have the following rights regarding the information we hold about you:

If you are or become an iRecover patient, additional rights under HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 apply to your health information. These are described in our Notice of Privacy Practices, which is provided at the point of care.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 12.

9. Cookies & website analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors use the site and to improve the user experience. These may include:

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may limit some website functionality.

We do not use cookies or tracking pixels to retarget prospective patients with advertising, and we do not share website behavior information with advertising networks for profiling.

10. Minors

iRecover US provides treatment services to adults only (age 18 and over). We do not treat minors under 18. Our website is not directed at minors, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 through the website. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will promptly delete it.
